A bag is a bag is a bag until you get your hands on one of the YETI Camino Carryall bags. The Carryall features the same waterproof, puncture-resistant shell that we know from YETI. This keeps the moisture out no matter where you place the bag and keeps the contents of the bag dry and clean. Alternatively, you can store your muddy and wet gear inside the bag to prevent your car from getting dirty. There is no zipper; it’s simply a tough, sturdy open bag for easy use. Inside, you will find movable (and removable) dividers to organize the contents as needed. Our Camino has held up to everything we have tossed into it, including chili. The chili spilled out of its container and into the bag, which was a loss. But the bag simply needed to be washed out with a garden hose. Most importantly, the chili did not leak all over the backseat of my truck due to the waterproof capabilities of the Carryall.
The YETI Camino Carryall is watertight, so much so that it will hold water. This is great for carrying water from the creek or lake to the campsite so you can make sure you are dousing your fire before leaving. The Camino comes with big grab handles and crossbars for holding on to. If you fill this with water, it will be quite heavy so use your back or, better yet, two people. Fair warning.
The YETI Camino Carryall is basically a giant bucket that you can toss just about everything into and load up and load out on your adventures. We keep the Carryall in the trunk of the SUV so we always know it is there. We have brought the Carryall right into the farmers’ market and filled it up with local produce. When we travel with food, all of the food goes into the Camino so in case something spills (like the chili did) we don’t have to stress out.
The dividers are nice to separate gear, the two zippered pockets can hold items such as a phone and keep it dry. The bag is easy to clean with a sponge and a little dishwashing detergent.
The YETI Camino Carryall is everything I never really knew that I needed in my life. On road trips it gets filled with snacks and food for the trip and as we burn through the food, it starts hauling finds we come across on our trips. Over the course of the last couple of years this bag has been hard to beat, and it still looks just as good as new. Even after the venison chili incident.
