Anglers win more than $31,000 in winnings
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (October 21, 2020) – Chris Logan, of Cat Spring, Texas, and Jason White, of Austin Texas, weighed a two-fish limit that totaled 18.16 pounds to win the final regular-season event for the Louisiana Division of the IFA Redfish Tour presented by Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s on October 16, at Houma, Louisiana. The team won a fully rigged Ranger RB190 boat prize package powered by a 90-horsepower, four-stroke Mercury outboard.
The longtime IFA Redfish Tour anglers add this win to their previous four tour wins. Running 30 minutes to the Dulac area, they sight-fished with Berkley Gulp! paddletails on a 3.8-ounce jighead. The duo added $2,934 in Anglers Advantage cash for a total of $31,076 in winnings.
Second-place finishers Jimmy Adams, of Sarasota, Florida, and John Jernigan, of Nokomis, Florida, weighed 17.46 pounds. Adams reported having to scramble due to a cold front coming through the area. They caught their limit after a 25-mile run to fish with Berkley Gulp! Shrimp. The team won $4,014 for their efforts.
Josh Galt, of Belle Chasse, Louisiana, and Luke Landry, of Arabi, Louisiana, brought 17.15 pounds to the scales to take the $3,487 third-place prize. The team also reported poor weather conditions, but managed to boat a limit around Lafitte by sight-fishing with Berkley Gulp! baits. The team took advantage of the Anglers Advantage contingency program and added $1,404 in cash for a total of $4,891 in winnings.
Twentieth-place finishers Danny Sheldon and Kyle Craven boated a 9.26-pound redfish to win the $500 Berkley Gulp! Big Redfish award.
