The Georgia National Tourism Administration (GNTA), representing the country of Georgia’s tourism assets and Steller.co, the world’s largest travel storytelling platform, announce today the production of the Event entitled A Digital Day in the Life of Georgia.
At 12:01 am Monday May 28, an elite team of the world’s best Travel Influencers and Content Creators will be dispatched to the extraordinary compass points throughout the country and tasked with creating multi-media stories of the legendary sites and hidden gems with the Steller platform, which uniquely allows content to be displayed on all other major social media channels. The 24-hour deadline will be 11:59 pm on May 28. At that point the stories created will be collated into a Collection entitled “A Digital Day in the Life of Georgia,” revealing and representing what 24 hours in the famously spectacular and welcoming destination offers to travelers from around the world. At the day’s culmination, the influencers will embark on customized familiarization tours coordinated by GNTA in order to highlight the country’s timeless beauty and adventure.
“We’re so proud to share our rich heritage, diversity and culture, our spectacular mountains and sea sides, our exceptional wines and cuisine, and our incredible tourism stories with the world through the Steller platform,” says Medea Janiashvili, Acting Head of GNTA.
Pete Bryant of Steller agrees, stating that “We are honored to partner with GNTA to produce this ground-breaking showcase, harnessing the power and authenticity of stories created by the world’s top content creators to celebrate this special destination. We searched the world for the best place to produce this event and determined there is no better land than Georgia to implement this exciting concept.”
Digital Day is also supported by the USAID Economic Security Program, which provides focused support for a number of sectors within the Georgian economy, including tourism. “We believe that Digital Day is the perfect vehicle to showcase Georgia’s iconic tourism products, as well as to reinforce the fact that the country is a safe and healthy destination for international travelers,” says Mark McCord, Chief of Party for the USAID Economic Security Program.
Prior to “A Digital Day in the Life of Georgia,” there will be a “Steller Meet” in Tbilisi on Thursday, May 27, in which travel suppliers, guides, hoteliers, restaurateurs, travel bloggers, writers, photographers and influencers will be invited to an evening of inspiration and instruction on how to best craft stories on the Steller platform. The resulting stories will be rolled into a Collection “The Best of Georgia” as a complement to the “Digital Day in the Life of Georgia” Collection.
Georgia is among the world’s most storied lands. Travel is the ultimate story, with an organic arc of beginning, middle and end. Over a billion people view digital stories every day, but few in previous months have been able to live them. That is changing as the Georgian sun rises back up over the horizon and invites the world to visit its wonders.
