DC PROJECT ANNOUNCES 5 FEATURED SPEAKERS AT AMM-CON 2021

Women for Gun Rights

The DC Project, a grassroots organization of women volunteers who span America and advocate for the Second Amendment by sharing their individual experiences as responsible gun owners and who are dedicated to education, not legislation, today announced that the 2021 Alternative Mass Media Conventions (AMM-CON) will feature five of their delegates as featured speakers. The fifth annual workshop will take place at the Westin Dallas/Fort Worth hotel from October 2-3, 2021. AMM-CON is an educational workshop hosted by The Polite Society Podcast, Self Defense Radio Network, and presented by the Second Amendment Foundation. The event provides pro-gun media with effective journalism techniques, education about activism, and dialogue on important pro-2A topics.

According to DC Project founder Dianna Muller, “We are thrilled that so many of our DC Project representatives will be on-hand to provide useful Second Amendment-supporting educational content throughout AMM-CON 2021. As we continue our ‘Women for Gun Rights’ mission, we’re thankful that the Second Amendment Foundation recognizes how crucial it is to dispel the misinformation about gun ownership that is so prevalent in the anti-gun community and everyday life.”

“The DC Project women presenting during AMM-CON 2021 are the brightest voices and some of the most compelling speakers in our ranks,” said Muller. “We’re proud of their tireless activism in preserving our right to bear arms.”

Alan Gottlieb, Founder of the Second Amendment Foundation, said, “We must hold ourselves to a higher standard than the local and national media when it comes to communicating pro-firearm issues. That’s why this event is so important for media members, content creators, and anyone connected to the 2A community.” AMM-CON provides education designed to improve the effectiveness of pro-gun messaging. “Folks who attend will leave with useful tools to help them reach their combined audience of tens of millions of Americans,” he added. “We’re taking the lead on Second Amendment media education and are thankful for the contributions from the DC Project.”

About the DC Project

The DC Project affirms that firearms safety and violence prevention are achieved through education, not legislation. We encourage the preservation of America’s gun culture and highlight the diversity and rising demographic of female gun owners through ongoing advocacy because gun rights are women’s rights. According to Muller, “We believe that self-defense is a human right and that we are our own first responders. We understand the importance of preserving the right to protect ourselves. Members of our foundation regularly stand before legislators and lawmakers on the frontlines of this battle to protect this crucial right and make their voices heard through education. Stand with us by donating to the DC Project and wear the color teal to let others know you support the rights of responsible gun owners too.”
